Greetings in GOD JESUS name 

Witnessing the wonders of the Marina bay sands Singpore, were so exited. It is a really something that you say that GOD is the awesome in performing remarkable job, GOD created the earth with perfect and you fill in one hemispere earth with buildings Marina bay sands also perfect.

Although repeatedly fordays and aired by various television media as well as review news letter and radio, could not stem the desire to see it directly.

Unfortunately our elderly do not have the ability to get there. Let our minds thing about there, we did not dare even just for a dream. When longing mounting .. then arise the idea..praying..nothing is imposible not to those who believe.. Trust to the promise GOD made Abraham ..who bless you be blessed.

Then we pray the sequence, each person praying for 10 minutes continued to connect up to 24 hours, already more or less during 3 mounths we did.. and magically arise..the courage to seek sponsor and anyone else but you..you could transform our dream into reality.

Maybe not all of us can go, because the state of health does not allow, but how that can go..the other will hear the story..of course ..its very..very exciting.

Touring is very important for us ward off boredom, to fill the void, as entertainment for those who lost loves ones, cast senelity and...even though only a few days to feel like a rich person.

If you allow s to travel, certainly we need not only lodging and meals but also round trip tickets, cost of travel documents, purchase valis bag and pocket money. We know people who have nothing, even among us there are no shoes..This situation in fact, not a joke .. although sometimes we think this is just a joke.

This one begged us..let once in our lives ..please.

BACKGROUND

Dimembe subdistrict are located at the foot of the magnificent Klabat mountain, surrounded by groves of coconut trees, where the balmy climate is around 32-36 deg.celcius during the day, while at night it drops to around 14-17 deg.celcius.

This is where we, the elderlies. were born and bred. We have now grown old in age. More often than not, we pass the days in loneliness, sicknesses and often total boredom. Our children have grown up and now busy with their own family and career. Some of them have left for the big cities trying to make a better living for themselves. With our children gone, most of us are left alone and often neglected or worse, forgotten.

Out of the sense of exasperation, we, the elderly, made decision to rise up and rebuild our sense of self-worth which has resulted in the forming of our fellowship where can worship GOD JESUS together and fellowship with each other. When we fellowship together, we can enjoy a nostalgic time, singing old familiar songs and hymns, sightseeing, even dancing to help ward off 'senility' and other maladies of the mind. These times truly help restore our zest for life and the sense that we are still needed and able to contribute to the life of the community.

We would visit each other and pray with each other. In this way, when any of us fell ill, he or she would not have to be alone.

These simple strategies bring smile to our faces and make us less afraid of occurrences that would otherwise make us fearful before, such as the loss of hearing or eyesight, or becoming lame because of a stroke, which often cause us to be the brunt of other's jokes.

MISSION

• Devotion and worship to GOD JESUS.
• To be an example for the next generations till the end of our days
• Building unity and togetherness among fellow elderly
• Rebuilding our sense of indentity and blessedness in our twilight years, so in turn we become a blessing to others
• Rebuilding our sense of self-confidence

VISSION

• Filling otherwise lonely days with beneficial activities for self and others
• Making the twilight years meaningful
• Building a fellowship of thanksgiving  to the GOD JESUS.
• Building a fellowship that does good for the community

MEMBERSHIP

• Eligibility of membership is 60 years and over
• Every member should live in Dimembe subdistrict
• At present there are 387 members, comprising 261 women and 126 men, with
• 20 helpers

ACTIVITIES

• Devotional fellowship, at least once a week
• Dance cultural arts workshops minimum twice a week
• Sightseeing and touring once every 6 months
• Medical treatment or check-up once a month

FINANCE

Funding for all activities come from the following resources :

• Sponsors
• Donors

CURRENT STRATEGIES

In years 2011 - 2012, we endeavour to work towards acquiring the following  :

• Prescribed Reading glasses
• Cultural dance customs
• Traditional kebaya for women and Batik shirts for men
• Medications and medical gadgets
• Sightseeing / recreation/ touring
• Chritsmas events and services
• Easter services
• A comfortable building complete with sports and mediacal facilities for elderly

It is our hope that this proposal finds favour with you. As well as requesting your participation in our effort to realize the programs above, we seek and rely upon the will and help of our GOD JESUS CHRIST.
